The Explorer is available in five distinct trims: the base, XLT, Limited, Sport, and Platinum. Next in line are accessories that are both fashionable and sensible for today's market. The second is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four generating 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the third is a 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine churning out 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
This SUV comes standard in front-wheel drive, but swapping that out for four-wheel drive is also an option. The Explorer helps lessen these effects with a set of independent front and rear suspensions, electronic power-assisted steering, and trailer sway control on board. Interior
Capable of seating seven, the Ford Explorer is more than spacious enough for a couple of friends heading into town, a few co-workers carpooling to the office, or even a large family settling in for a road trip. You'll also feel right at home thanks to a cabin offering a steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, four 12-volt power outlets, and split-folding rear seats.
