Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2020 Ford Ranger comes in three trim levels: the XL, XLT, and LARIAT. The Ranger also allows you to choose between two cab configurations, the extended cab (SuperCab) and the crew cab (SuperCrew). The extended cab configuration comes with a six-foot bed for cargo, while the crew cab configuration still provides buyers with a five-foot bed for cargo. The Ranger also has a power-locking tailgate and a capless fuel filler for driver ease, while automatic headlamps help increase your visibility during nighttime driving.
Engine (Power)
All three trims for the 2020 Ford Ranger come with the 2.3-Liter EcoBoost engine, which gets 270 horsepower. This engine also has auto start/stop technology. This technology automatically switches off your engine when your vehicle comes to a stop, whether you are at a stoplight or stuck in traffic. Once your foot releases from the brake it automatically switches back on. This helps your vehicle preserve fuel. The Ranger's engine also comes with an electronic 10-speed transmission with tow/haul mode and a SelectShift automatic transmission.
Performance
The 2020 Ford Ranger provides drivers with excellent performance both on the road and on unpaved surfaces. Thanks to its fuel-efficient engine, the Ranger gets 21 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. You can tow a small trailer or boat with its 3,500-pound towing capacity and maintain better traction and towing power with the two-wheel-drive mode. For even more traction on wet or uneven surfaces, four-wheel drive is available for all trims. The Ford Ranger also has an independent front suspension, which helps you and your passengers enjoy a bump-free ride regardless of the terrain.
Interior
The 2020 Ford Ranger's extended cab allows seating for four passengers, while the crew cab allows for five passengers. Regardless of which configuration you choose, there is plenty of room for family and friends with both of these options. The interior is loaded with fun and functional features like manual air conditioning or dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control for optimal comfort, 12V-110V power outlets for charging devices, SYNC or SYNC 3 infotainment systems, and front bucket seats.
Safety Features
Each 2020 Ford Ranger comes with the Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology to help you navigate your journey safely. The standard safety features for the Ranger are pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, BLIS (blind spot information system) with cross-traffic alert and trailer monitoring, automatic high beams, a lane-keeping system, adaptive cruise control, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
