Ranger Engine and Capability
The full Ranger lineup is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that boasts 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, paired to a slick-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. The engine offers rapid acceleration for highway passing and merging and around-town driving, as well as an abundance of power for towing and hauling. Some of the highlights include 18-inch black-painted aluminum wheels, a spray-in bed liner, a magnetic-colored finish for the exterior accents, and a tailgate handle.
Ranger Technology Features
The Ranger can be outfitted with either the base SYNC® system or the upgraded SYNC® 3 infotainment system. Both systems share a user-friendly interface and an array of features. SYNC® 3 takes entertainment up a notch with features like an 8-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, a feature that syncs your phone with the system for on-the-go entertainment and information. Other features include a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth® connectivity, and premium sound.
Ford’s bundle of advanced safety features is included for the Ranger. You’ll get desirable features like forward-collision warning, a feature that alerts you to potential frontal collisions and applies the brakes automatically. A rearview camera and MyKey®, a feature that lets you set parameters for teen drivers, are also included. Optional upgrades include cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control, a feature that adjusts your speed on the highway to stay with the flow of traffic.
