All About the 2020 Ford EcoSport

The 2020 Ford EcoSport is an appealing, fun-to-drive compact crossover SUV. It can fit in tight parking spots easily and maneuver through busy traffic. The 2020 EcoSport has a sculpted, modern look and a prominent chrome or black grille with the Ford Blue Oval in the middle. There’s a small lower grille, and this SUV has a rounded front, a short hood, 16-inch wheels, a rear windshield wiper and washer, automatic headlights, all-season tires, and a spoiler. The power, manually folding side mirrors have integrated blind spot mirrors, and the acoustic windshield blocks road noise.

The SE and higher trims come with a power moonroof, privacy glass, a rear gate that swings open like a fifth door, roof rails, fog lights, and LED signature lighting. Heated side mirrors with turn signals, splash guards, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a wiper de-icer are available as well.

An Efficient, Powerful Ride

This vehicle’s three-cylinder, 1.0-liter EcoSport engine gives 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. A four-cylinder, 2.0-liter motor that produces 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque is available as well. Both engines can turn off automatically to save fuel and prevent idling when you have to hit your brakes in traffic. They’ll come back on when you use the accelerator. Electronics like the air conditioner and the radio and will continue functioning and maintain your comfort.

The ride is smooth and comfortable, and speed-sensing power steering provides additional maneuverability. The Ford EcoSport also has an independent suspension and a six-speed transmission with a fun, entertaining manual mode. A sport-tuned suspension is available with the SES. You can go 27 mpg in traffic and 29 mpg on the open road. The 2.0-liter engine comes with four-wheel drive, and it gets 23 mpg in the city and the same mileage on the highway.

A Luxurious Interior 

With this SUV, you and your passengers can relax and enjoy convenient, high-tech features. It includes an external keypad for keyless entry, two USB ports, voice activation, two 12-volt power outlets, buttons on the steering wheel, and cruise control. A six-speaker sound system with an audio input, a compass, folding rear seats with air vents nearby, eight cupholders, and an external temperature display are standard as well.

You can add a heated leather steering wheel, remote start, heated leather seats with several temperature settings, SiriusXM satellite radio, an 8-inch touch screen, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can also choose push-button start, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 110-volt power outlet.
